Code
The HTML code was of interest to me as it is fairly short although the actual website is quite large with multiple pages. This highlighted to me that HTML can be brief, while the CSS will build on the basic structure to enhance the users experience. The developers of this site utilized CSS IDs, classes and Javascript to build the site as seen.
User Interface - UI
A few things caught my eye on this site. I do like the little symbol used to highlight the page you are on besides the color change in the navigation bar. I also liked the background on the main page. The color, background image and motion are subtle. There is enough to provide interest but not a distraction. I did not like the large photo further down however. I did not feel it increased my understanding of the information provided.
User Experience - UX
There were a number of things that I liked about the site. After reading the two recommended articles this week, I noticed the use of spacing to identify the individual articles. The content is concise to allow one to quickly decide if the article is of interest. I also liked the ability to filter what might or might not be of interest.
Summary
My impression was that this site would be easy to navigate and find the information needed. I think they conveyed what their company is about well. All in all, I was left with a good impression of the company and their services. I especially enjoyed:
