"Green Acres" Here I Come!

As a child born and raised in the city, I never gave much thought to tractors. And I never would have imagined that they would become an important part of my life. But circumstances change as the years go by and slowly but surely, tractors became more central to the life I was living.

Just Like Goldilocks

At some point, city and condo life was left behind and a move onto a larger lot happened. Something was needed for outdoor work such as mowing. However, why get a riding mower when a small compact utility tractor is an option! And so our first tractor joined the family. It seemed a little large for the property, but since it could do more than just mow the lawn it was very handy. Then once again another move. This time to a much larger rural property. Suddenly the tractor that looked so big before, now looked rather small. So a much larger compact tractor joined the family. But... sometimes it was a little too large so an in-between size tractor also joined us. So just like Goldilocks, depending on the job, we should have a tractor sized "just right"!

A Swiss Army Knife

A tractor by itself, however, isn't good for much except driving around on. Like a Swiss Army knife, if there are a number of tools available to use with the tractor, it's usefulness and functionality is greatly increased. And this is where ones stuff starts collecting its own stuff as you accumulate the implements for the tractor to get the work done.
